Each year UCSB Arts & Lectures in collaboration with Santa Barbara Community Services and County Parks Dept. presents a free series of movies in the Sunken Gardens at the County Courthouse. Hundreds of movie lovers set up blankets and low beach chairs, sit back and enjoy watching great movies under the stars. Premiere Sponsor Montecito Bank are providing free goodies and a chance to win a raffle drawing and Sponsor Compass Realty handed out free freshly popped hot popcorn. The theme for this year’s series is “Animated Nights.” To make things even more interesting, the premiere last Friday was the hottest night in a long time, with canyon winds driving the temp up to 100! Moviegoers were not deterred and welcomed the distraction of seeing the best in animated movies. Continuing Fridays through August 24th.
