Things got off to a productive start for the ninth DANCEworks residency as the Kate Weare Company and Union Tanguera smoothly adjusted to jet lag and the reality of having the run of the beautiful Lobero Theatre for 4 weeks. Serious work began on “Sin Salida/In Love I Broke Beyond” and the excitement of Kate Weare, Estaban Moreno and their dancers was very much in evidence. In fact everyone involved with this one-of-a-kind endeavor is pretty jazzed, as you can see in this little video featuring a production/marketing meeting and the dancers working on stage and in the rehearsal space as the new work begins to take shape. Liftoff was achieved in fine fashion.
