Prolonged Anticipation

News of a new production from John Blondell and Lit Moon Theatre Company is always reason for excitement among adventurous theater-goers eager for another new challenging and provocative re-imagining of an iconic play. Henrick Ibsen’s “A Doll’s House” should be a perfect fit for Lit Moon’s surreal and slightly anarchic modus operandi, but we’ll have to wait a while to experience it on stage. Originally scheduled to open January 4th, Mr. Blondell (who had to evacuate with his family) made the wise choice to postpone until sometime later in 2018 because of the Thomas fire. The cast has been hard at work since September, and now Victoria Finlayson, Brian Harwell, Stan Hoffman, Nina Salinen, Paige Tautz and Matt Tavianini have some added time to make it even more compelling. As always, this publicity photo shoot evolved into something quite different from the first ideas we all had, adding to the fun in a true spirit of improvisatory exploration, a Lit Moon hallmark.
