State Street Ballet’s “Modern Masters” opens tonight with a program of 4 exciting and varied contemporary dances by talented choreographers. Ranging from Cecily Stewart’s new “Trains of Thought” set to Depeche Mode songs, William Soleau’s “Sonnets of Love and Death” set to Argentine folk songs with lyrics by Pablo Neruda, Boston choreographer Kevin Jenkins’s fun “C’est la vie,” and ending with Gina Patterson’s gritty, fast-moving and poetic “The Call.” May 13 & 14 at the New Vic Theatre.
