Danceworks the Final Year: Giving Notes

It’s a long-standing tradition in theatrical productions for a director or choreographer to take notes during run throughs and then “give” them to the actors or dancers. All about refining and honing, it usually occurs near the end of the rehearsal process when all the scenes or parts are pretty much finished, ironing out rough spots, correcting mistakes and making changes to get it just right. Watch a master at work as Doug Varone gently prods and encourages his talented dancers with humor and serious focus to get the most out this big new work and create something really special for those lucky enough to attend the world premiere performances at the Lobero Theatre Sept. 6th and 7th at 8 pm.
