It makes a hard-to-beat combination, the joining of a glorious movie on a a huge screen with a live orchestra, and it harks back to the early days of cinema when silent films were accompanied by live music. The Santa Barbara Symphony has made this highly entertaining art form a regular feature of their seasons and this year will present Milos Foreman’s 1984 blockbuster “Amadeus,” winner of 8 Academy Awards, with a full orchestra and chorus. A big celebration of Mozart and his music featuring the Symphony’s own Natasha Kislenko on piano, this show promises to be it’s own kind of blockbuster. Get lost in it this weekend at the Granada Theater! Here’s a brief teaser with Symphony Music Director & Conductor Nir Kabaretti.
