The Ultimate Fairytale?

With a beautiful heroine beset by an evil step mother and her horrible daughters, a fairy godmother, a royal ball and a handsome prince looking for a bride, Cinderella has got to be in the running. There have been many ballets based on it produced since the early 1940’s when Prokofiev’s composed a ballet score filled with sublime and memorable melodies. State Street Ballet’s Artisitic Director Rodney Gustafson has choreographed a fun and imaginative version for his innovative company, with lots of great dancing, beautiful costumes and animated sequences by yours truly, including one for a pumpkin morphing into a carriage.
