Bonny lasses a leapin’ and lads a fightin’ and everyone a singin’ makes for a grand celebration of the Yule and winter solstice. Each year, Santa Barbara Revels explores a different cultural take on December rituals and celebrations, and this year it was off to the Scottish highlands circa the mid-1700s, and there was piping aplenty. As always, there was a lot of humor and merriment, storytelling and audience participation, plus a wee bit of “education” woven into the proceedings.
