Santa Barbara’s Award-Winning Boxtales Theatre Company brings folktales and myths from around the world to young audiences here, throughout the western U.S. and in Mexico. Using beautifully crafted masks and a wide variety of interesting ethnic musical instruments, the actors are dressed in simple white clothing adorned with minimal costuming and rely on superb acting and ingenious physical movement to hold youngsters and adults spellbound while taking them to unusual and intriguing places and exposing them to cultures most have never experienced before.
