The celebration of DANCEWORKS Santa Barbara’s 10th Anniversary kicks off with the August 13 return of critically acclaimed choreographer Doug Elkins and his dancers for a month-long residency at the Lobero Theatre to create a new work based on Japanese philosophy and art entitled “Kintsugi.” The festivities culminate Sept. 7 & 8 with premiere performances of Doug’s new work, plus appearances by all the alumni of previous residencies of this rare and innovative adventure in dance.
