Arlo Guthrie paused his seemingly perpetual motion long enough on his “Running Down the Road” tour to put on a relaxed and rambling concert at the Lobero Theatre. He recently spent a year and a half touring a 50th Anniversary of Alice’s Restaurant show and this year set off on this one which is a celebration of the album that premiered his second big hit, “Coming in to Los Angeles” based on a less fictionalized event in his life. Mr. Guthrie continues the troubadour tradition of his famous father, singing a few of Woody’s songs with nods to Dylan, Victor Jara, and many of his own songs about politically relevant topics past and present, all punctuated by humorous stories, observations and anecdotes in his laconic and inimitable style.
