Recording artist and Santa Barbara Symphony Principal Trumpet Jon Lewis has been a valued member of our premiere orchestra since 1988 and his pure tone, delightful playing and technical skill have been a highlight of it’s sound, numerous times as a soloist. His career is impressive, playing and recording with jazz big bands, Latin bands, classical orchestras, brass quintets, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, performing solo and more. He can be heard on over 800 movie soundtracks, including “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” and over 1,000 TV shows. He loves making the trip up from his home in Los Angeles to be a part of the orchestra, working with Maestro Nir Kabaretti and being a part of our community.
