Sexy, steamy and mysterious with great dancing and music. The world premiere of “Sin Salida/In Love I Broke Beyond,” a novel blending of traditional Tango with contemporary dance, was a complete success, taking both to unexpected and utterly compelling new territory, and the audience loved it! A truly collaborative effort with all the dancers contributing choreography under the artistic direction of Kate Weare (Kate Weare Co., NYC) and Esteban Moreno (Union Tanguera, Lyon,France), who also danced in the show. Like all DANCEworks projects, the performance is a work-in-progress destined for life after Santa Barbara, this one going next to France. Kudos to DANCEworks, Dianne Vapnek, Kate, Esteban, Daniel del Valle Escobar, Thryn Saxon, Nicole Vaughan-Diaz, Gabrielle Weisbuch and Nayhara Lapa Zeugtrager, Ted Dolas, and the Lobero Theatre and crew!!
