Swedish singer-songwriter phenom José Gonzales talked about his songwriting method, how it takes him as long as a year to complete a song, and the lyrics come last. The music and the melody percolate for a long time before he adds words. Part of a fascinating seminar with UCSB Music Dept. students in a composition class.
