CAMA Santa Barbara decided to give something back to the community as a thankyou for 100 years of supporting their mission to bring the finest classical music to the stages of our fair city. So, they held a Birthday Bash at the Sunken Gardens of the SB Courthouse. Hundreds of people braved the somewhat blustery day which was forecast to rain, but fortuitously did not. The sun made periodic appearances and the wind didn’t blow too hard, and those in attendance were treated to free food and wine courtesy of local restaurants and wineries, plus music, naturally. Faculty and students from Westmont and UCSB, the Santa Barbara Symphony Brass Quartet, and members of the Opera Santa Barbara chorus delighted listeners and, of course, there was a champagne toast to 100 years of the best classical music from around the world, right here in Santa Barbara.
