Arturo Sandoval is a Cuban American force of nature! Founding member of the game-changing Cuban group Irakere was only the kickoff to a stunning career performing and educating around the world. There has even been a movie about his life, “For Love of Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story,” starring Andy Garcia. His infectious enthusiasm and more than considerable talents as a performer were on glorious display at his Lobero show week before last as he moved between piano, trumpets and percussion, backed by a superb band. People danced in the aisles while Arturo, his band and everyone in the house had a grand time.
