If you missed the four performances of Lit Moon Theatre’s latest iteration of their trademark re-interpretation of a classic work of theater, Tennessee Williams’s “The Glass Menagerie,” you should make a point of seeing one of their upcoming productions. For the holiday season there will be “Humbug!” a (Lit Moon) Christmas Carol, which makes Dickens’s seem like an overlong trudge in comparison. How about an over the top Scrooge scintillatingly played by the incomparable Nina Salinin? A lampshade wearing ghost of Christmas past and puppets for the Cratchit family? All done with flair and a big dose of humor. Three performances, December 22 & 23 at Center Stage Theatre. Coming to the same venue in January will be a (bound to be a bit different) reprise of their “Doll House” mashup of Ibsen’s classic, and “The Nina Variations” bringing together 43 Lit Mooners past and present for 43 takes on one scene from “The Seagull” in a 26 year reunion celebration of (a 25th was postponed because of the Thomas fire) presenting the most audacious theater company in the area, and beyond! Here are some production photos from their recent “Menagerie.”
