What could be better than sitting back in a comfy seat at the glorious Lobero theatre for an evening of delightful music making by someone whose artistry sends you? How about when three artists like that share the stage and put their all into it? That’s just what happened October 13 when Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz and Aoife O’Donovan filled the house with angelic harmonies, lovely melodies and some mighty fine pickin’ and fiddlin.’ Opening act the Brother Brothers were pretty darn good too, setting the tone with great music and delivering stern but humorous admonitions to keep the audience quiet and in it’s proper place, treating any input as heckling. The ladies were obviously having fun up on that storied stage, and they were a bit friendlier too.
