It’s tech week for the upcoming world premiere of Doug Elkin’s “Kintsugi” following 3 weeks of creative sublimity in the 4 week process that is DANCEWORKS Santa Barbara, a unique opportunity for a choreographer and dancers to have the run of a theatre and the freedom to create an original new work. Lighting designer Theodore Dolas is adding his magic to the proceedings and “Kintsugi” is beginning to look like a theatrical reality as Doug the dancers continue to perfect what will be another stunning work to the roster of greats that have preceded it on the Lobero’s stage.
