Visual Artist Marco Pinter’s installation at MOXI: The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation titled “Reflections + Less Ephemeral” was visited by a group dancers from Girls Inc. led by Santa Barbara Dance Institute founder and director Rosalina Macisco. They were greeted by three large screens, two featuring a different form of projection created from images captured by special cameras and given some digital magic to react to and follow the movements of those in front of the cameras. The third screen was a special thermally reactive fabric that made visual impressions from the heat of those who touched or breathed on it. The dancers got to know how it all worked in groups of 2 to 4 and for a finale everyone came in to dance with the red, green and blue silhouettes of themselves, and did they have some FUN!
