Monday was no day off as Shannon and Vim Vigor moved steadily towards performance night and ideas are tried and rejected or perfected during this exceptional creation project. Usually a new piece is choreographed in the head and brought to life in short bursts in a (sometimes dingy) studio or rehearsal space until the week before its debut when rehearsals begin in earnest. What DANCEworks provides is unique in the dance world: a beautiful theater where a new work is perfected for 4 weeks, all on the same stage where it will premiere.
