Chamber Music returns to the Lobero stage this winter as the Chamber Music Project kicks off it’s 2020 season with three concerts. The people behind the Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra, Maestro Heiichiro Ohyama and board president Joe Campanelli are collaborating with the Lobero Theatre Foundation using the remaining funds from the SBCO Endowment as well as the LTF’s considerable resources to continue the legacy of 40 years of classical chamber music SBCO presented at the Lobero. The first concert on January 4th featured SBCO favorite pianist Alessio Bax and fiery young violinist Benjamin Beilman in a stimulating program featuring sonatas for violin and piano by Bach, Busoni, and Grieg. Off to a great start, and come February Mr. Ohyama will display his talents as violist, joining Mr. Beilman and other superb players for two back-to-back concerts of works by Beethoven, Brahms, Prokoviev and Kodály.
