Staging rehearsals for Opera Santa Barbara’s upcoming production of “Giannin Schicchi” got under way March 30th with Stage director Fenlon Lamb, whose well honed theatrical sensibilities and great sense of humor make for very entertaining and productive rehearsals. It’s so interesting to see how much work goes into figuring out who goes where and when to make a really compelling and entertaining theatrical production come to life and draw the audience into that zone of suspended disbelief. And, with opera you’ve got great music and singing to go with it!
