As week 2 of the creation of FUTURE/PERFECT begins, Shannon Gillen and VimVigor are getting into a comfortable rhythm as they get used to the freedom afforded them by having a month on stage at the Lobero Theatre. Here’s a glimpse into the workings of the creative process as Shannon’s choreography takes shape in conjunction with Martin Durov’s pulsating music. There is collaboration and give and take as complex moves are explored and honed and this exciting new work becomes a reality. It’s a fitting together of the pieces of a puzzle, and we’ll get to see the finished “picture,” in kinetic 3 dimensions, on September 23rd and 24th.
