The Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra offers patrons a full evening’s entertainment at each of it’s concerts. Delicious food, special wine and an inteview with a member of the orchestra are regular features of the Supper Club which begins the event. For the May iteration of this popular program, Refugio Ranch Vineyards provided salubrious libations which the attendees enjoyed with gusto. After a tasty meal they were treated to an informative and humorous interview of SBCO’s principal oboist by writer Charles Donelan. Next came the music, and even though there was a tasty dessert served at the Supper Club, the real dessert was the performance of the orchestra and pianist Alessio Bax, a favorite with Santa Barbara audiences and the members of the orchestra. All in all, a full and satisfying night out for those lucky enough to partake in the whole evening’s proceedings.
