With a big shot of Brooklyn hyper dance. Shannon Gillen and fellow daredevils of Vim Vigor Dance Company made laid back Santa Barbarians sit up and take notice as bodies and mulch chips (made of recycled tires) flew. Their trademark extreme physicality and portrayals of intense emotional connections and disconnections were in full swing, and the audience, sharing the stage, loved it. Just a taste of what’s in store when FUTURE/PERFECT bursts forth from the stage of the Lobero Sept. 23 & 24 for a world premiere.
