Robert Cray’s distinctive take on the distinctly American musical art form of the blues was in full swing during his show at the Lobero Theatre on July 24, 2016. With his funky snakey Stratocaster guitar lines accentuating tales of love betrayed, new love found, revenge, and guilt, Mr. Cray was putting his all into it and the audience ate it up! He was unique when he burst on the scene back in … well it was a while ago, and he’s still casting his real-deal spell, serving up many of his best-loved hits and a few surprises too.
