Santa Barbara Dance Institute’s mission is “to inspire children to realize their true potential by motivating them to believe in themselves, be responsible, and develop a personal standard of excellence.” A lofty goal which yeilds some big results – a decrease in school violence and real academic improvements, as well as more than 600 happy kids who get to dance their ya yas out while working towards an annual full blown theater/dance production at the Marjorie Luke. Just look at their faces at this year’s 2 shows – “Rhythms From Around The World.” Hats off to executive and artistic director Rosalina Macicsco and her crew for a wonderful program!
