So the question is do I try to take in the details of all these moving parts for two static positions of the mug, one upright and the other upside down or one turned one way and then turned the other, memorize those two positions and try to train my brain to do mental rotation or again do you think that once images can be seen in the minds eye that the brain will be able to start rotating those images.
